When I read the synopsis for Fair Game and it said that Jade’s boyfriend adds her to the pot during a game of poker I knew I had to read this because what boyfriend does that and I needed to what the girl would do about it. I’m glad that synopsis hooked me enough to pick this up because I was disappointed.

Shep Prescott is the big man on campus, rich, popular and very good looking. He can have any girl he wants and does. Well, that’s until he wins Jade Frost during a game of poker. Jade wants nothing to do with Shep’s charming ways, but for Shep, she is a challenge he can’t seem to get out of his mind. Jade fights her attraction to Shep not believing his intentions could be real, but the more they around each other the more Jade begins to let Shep in slowly.

I really liked the slow build between Shep and Jade. Jade didn’t fall for Sheps lines or take his crap, she gave it right back to him and for Shep that was something completely new. I liked how Monica didn’t have these two jumping each other’s bones right away and had them actually get to know each other first. With that being said, these two still had some hot chemistry though!!
