EXCERPT
“Follow me,” I said, taking Carter's hand in mine.  It had been forty-eight hours since I'd learned about Mark's death.  The police investigation hadn't turned up anything, so for the time being the security team was still watching me like a hawk.  Whoever had killed Mark seemed to be laying low, nothing of any concern had happened since.

I was making a concentrated effort to not let everything that had happened affect who I was.  Or who I wanted to be.  I wanted to be the girl that believed the police would do their job and everything would be okay.  I wanted to be the girl that enjoyed the beginnings of a new relationship with a great guy.  Carter had been very supportive over the last couple days.  He'd made sure to check in with me regularly and kept an ever watchful eye out for anything suspicious.

I offered up a playful smile as we made our way down the hall from the Scarlet Ballroom.  The two of us had met with Alison to discuss the menu and table layout for the wedding.  Trent was notably absent.  I hadn't seen him since Carter had whisked me out of the security office.  A part of me knew it was for the best, but another kept waiting for him to rush in and declare his innocence.

Alison was unusually chatty that morning—reiterating how ecstatic she was about becoming Mrs. Crawford.  Luckily, Carter was on his game that morning.  He'd been more accommodating than I felt like being and even had an idea that would make the flow of service move more quickly for the wait staff.  And while a part of me was grateful that he had such an eye for detail, I’d silently cursed myself for not thinking of it in the first place.  Just another sign that my head wasn't in the game like it used to be.  I was supposed to be groomed and ready to take over as the C.O.O. of The Wellesley-Crawford Hotel, not flouting around like some rookie event planner.

Not that I didn't have a somewhat justifiable reason.  Just when I thought I was finally coming down from everything that happened the night of the Gala, Carter showed up.  Then Trent showed up. My shit show love life took precedence over every logical thought I once had in my head. That was until I realized someone was stalking me and now possibly involved in the murder of a man I went on a date with.  If this is what it was like to have a full plate, I needed to start a diet as soon as possible.

My head was still spinning.  I hadn't had a moment to myself and it was starting to affect me.  My current company excluded, having a body guard up my ass twenty-four-seven was really cramping my style.  I knew that I needed one to be safe, but I'd always been a do-as-I-please kind of girl.  Now I was asking permission to use the restroom in my own hotel.

“Where are we going?” he asked, pulling my body to a halt. The guard tasked with keeping tabs on me believed I was still in the inside ballroom, so I needed to move fast if I wanted a moment alone with Carter.

He brushed up against my side and firmly planted his lips on my neck before kissing up to my ear.  “God, you smell amazing,” he whispered, before a bellhop turned the corner catching us both by surprise.  We both straightened up as if we weren't about to rip each other's clothes off. The sexual tension had been building between us since our last encounter, unfortunately, time or convenience hadn't been on our side. Both of us had been swamped with work and conflicting schedules. Stolen kisses and the occasional embrace were all we'd managed to work in over the last few days. Not to mention, any time he did stop by my suite, the thought of a bodyguard sitting outside my door and knowing exactly what we were doing kind of killed the mood. Today was different though. Today I was making it a priority to get some quality time with him.

Author Bio:
Born and raised in the middle of a Midwestern cornfield (not literally, that would be weird), I’ve spent my entire life imagining stories. Stories where the right guy always gets the right girl, first kisses are as magical as they are on the big screen and anything is completely possible if you believe.

Although this journey began years ago, it recently took on a whole new life. After years of devouring hundreds of Romance, YA and New Adult novels, I had an epiphany... I should write a book. And I did it!

If I’m not reading, writing, enjoying drinks with my amazing group of girlfriends or chasing around a sarcastically funny kid, I’m probably watching television shows that were created for teenagers, while my husband teases that I’m too old to watch them.

Losers Weepers by Nicole Williams ~ Review

Losers Weepers (Lost and Found, #4)

Losers Weepers by Nicole Williams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

~This book is best read after reading the other books in the series first.~

I became a fan of Nicole Williams when I first read Lost and Found. I fell in love with the series from that first book and loved the three other books that came after. So when I heard Nicole was going to write a fourth book and continue Garth and Josie’s story from Finders Keepers, I was intrigued. I didn’t think the book was necessary, but I knew I must read it. So I was so excited when I got the chance to read Losers Weepers early.

Losers Weepers continues the story of the dark and mysterious cowboy Garth Black and the love of his life Josie Gibson. The story picks up with Garth’s and Josie relationship strong and moving forward. An unfortunate accident puts that strong relationship to the test and with Garth being Garth he doesn’t make it easy for Josie. Their relationship is put to the test and to its breaking point, but you’ll have to read Losers Weepers to find out if they find the love they need to make it through the hard times. ;)

If you’ve read Lost and Found then you will remember Rowen and Jesse. My favorite couple is back and in a big way. The story may be centered around Garth and Josie but Rowen and Jesse have their own side story going on throughout the book. Their story wasn’t over at the end of Losers Weepers and will continue in Heart and Soul which I am so EXCITED for.

The reason this wasn’t a 5 star read for me was because of Mr. Garth Black. He could be such a stubborn ass and I would love to give him a good smack if I could. I got frustrated with him and disappointed because I wanted so much more from him.

For those who love the Lost and Found series and love the rough cowboy Garth Black then you’ll love this addition to the series.

Finding Haven by T.A. Foster ~ Review

Finding Haven

Finding Haven by T.A. Foster
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

 photo Finding Haven_zpsa00dopnx.jpg

I enjoyed Finding Haven; it was a nice and easy love story. There wasn’t a lot of drama or instant love connection. The story started off with a slower build and brought the characters together naturally. I usually don’t like to wait till about 20% into the book for the characters to really have any interaction with each other but I didn’t mind in Finding Haven. It gave us time to really get to know the two characters before jumping into any kind of relationship. It was a nice change.

Movie star Evan Carlson is done with the Hollywood life. After finding out his girlfriend has been cheating on him in a magazine, Evan packs a bag and leaves. He drives until he can’t drive anymore and that's how he finds himself on Perry Island, SC, part of the Outer banks.

Haven Owens is back in Perry Island working at her parent’s general store after her college graduation. Perry is the last place she wants to be. As an aspiring songwriter, Havens dream is to get a contract and moves away from Perry and write songs for a living. For now she’ll work until she gets signed.

Hiding who he really is in Perry is easier than Evan thought it would be. Going by the name Jay he starts working with Haven at the general store. Haven and Evan bond over Haven’s song lyrics and an easy friendship begins. That friendship turns steamy, fast and these two have a hard time keeping their hands to themselves. Everything seems perfect for Haven and Evan except for a little secret that he is keeping from her that can explode their happy little world they have created for themselves in Perry.

Like the Kissing Eden series by T.A. Foster, Finding Haven is an easy, fun read. It will defiantly make you wish you were on a beach somewhere, enjoying the sun and sand like the characters. At least it did her me.

About the Author
I write sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind I like to read. My books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing, London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
Hearing from readers is the best thing in the world so get in touch!

Always Loving You by Sydney Landon ~ Review

Always Loving You (Danvers, #6)

Always Loving You by Sydney Landon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was absolutely perfect!!! I loved this book so much. The Danvers series is hands down one of my favorite series out there and I was so excited for Ava and Mac’s book. It definitely didn’t let me down. The gang is back from the previous books and oh man did the girls have me cracking it up. They are my kind of girls. The men of this series didn’t let me down either, they were always there supporting their crazy women no matter what. Always Loving You made me laugh, smile and swoon, all of my favorite things to have in a book. Anyone that is already a fan of this series is really going to love this book!!

Stealing Rose by Monica Murphy

If you would like to include the purchase links for Owning Violet and Taming Lily, please include the links below.

BLURB:
People say the youngest child has it easy, but nothing can be further from the truth. Unlike my two sisters, Violet and Lily, I’m never in the limelight. I just work my butt off for Fleur Cosmetics and get little to no thanks for it. I’ve been pushed too far one too many times, and I’m finally brave enough to do something about it.

Maybe my newfound courage has something to do with the amazing pink and white diamond necklace I wear to the party in Cannes. The instant those dazzling heirloom jewels touch my skin, they excite some deep, aching need inside. And when that guy—that totally gorgeous guy—locks eyes with me, I know this nice girl is going to be naughty.

For once it’s my turn. My turn to say no to my father, to outshine my sisters, to walk away from it all—straight into the arms of a mysterious stranger. But what if Caden is much more than I bargained for? Sure, he makes me feel sexy and free in a way I never have before, but there’s something else I can’t quite place—something dangerous. Maybe our “chance” meeting wasn’t so random. Maybe he was looking for me for a reason. Whatever his motive, there’s no going back now.

And maybe I don’t want to.

Advance praise for Stealing Rose
